Yellow Alert Stories

Vicky's Story

“My daughter Lucy was so jaundiced that my midwife carried on calling for over three weeks. I also shared my concerns about her feeding as she seemed to be constantly hungry. I was told to take her out for walks in the sunshine (she was born on 25th Nov!!) and to give her water between feeds and add an extra scoop of powder to her milk.

"I finally got them to listen to me when she was seven weeks old and she was referred to my local hospital then transferred to Birmingham Children's. She was given a liver transplant when she was two and is now an active 18 year old.”

To promote the early diagnosis and referral of liver disease in babies, Children's Liver Disease Foundation have developed the free Yellow Alert app. To download the latest version of the app, please click the buttons below...

CLDF will continue to develop and improve the Yellow Alert app to help those looking to spot signs and symptoms of childhood liver disease. So please check frequently for updates and amend your app update settings to reflect this.
